My Auntie Nora was hard working and would collect firewood and sell it in Jamestown. While she was selling the firewood she would also have to look after her children. She would also collect, what I believe to be called, elephant grass to use for stuffing mattresses. Those were the days when Folks didn’t suffer from allergies. It was my teen years that she wasn’t to happy with me.
After my grandmother died she would meet me in Dot Cafe where she would buy me a meal when she did her shopping on Saturdays.
God Bless Auntie Nora
