Dec 05
They took my smile, they took my laughter.
They took my empathy, I gave them sympathy.
I kept on giving but it was never enough,
They just kept on taking, they took more than I could give.
They took my heart, they broke my heart.
They shattered my spirit, even ripped open wide my soul.
They took my mother away when I was almost two years old.
Then one day they came and took my blood.
Now they have taken everything that I own.
I am stripped naked, I stand alone.
My tears fell into the soft earth.
One day I will finally rest in the same soft earth.
Holding my saviour’s hand.
