Once upon a time I didn’t have a voice,
But now I have a choice and a voice.
I will shout loud and clear,
Life was cruel and unfair.
I saw woman with missing mainly front teeeth,
And eyes so bruised and swollen.
Men who would knock me down and hold me down,
My innocent childhood stolen.
I am mearly a child and for a long while,
I suffered in silence with years of violence.
I now have a right and a choice,
woman stand up and rejoice.
They used us and abused us even accused us,
We will use are freedom never backward always forward.
Our screams said it all, but there was a brick wall,
Every thing is so real in the pain that we feel.
Hold hearts and hands sisters,
Reunite and fight for our right.
