Don’t tell me to move on,
Don’t say whats done is done.
Listen to me,
Maybe its hard to believe,
But I still grieve.
For a childhood lost,
A childhood that was doomed.
Don’t tell me not to live in the past,
Bad memories last.
Don’t tell me it could,
have been worse.
Don’t tell me I’m a curse,
Don’t tell me to come to my senses.
That it was just circumstances,
Don’t say I deserve it.
I couldn’t bear it,
I deserved to be loved,
cared for and cherished.
Not to let my spirit perish.
I’m now free,
But the triggers stay.
I Dottie it will get better with time ,keep writing if it does you good and helps you x x
