I am standing alone. on my own,
I am a strong woman,
I am strong enough to handle things,
All by myself,
Not too many people care about me,
They think that I’m not worth it,
I tell myself to get on with it,
I start to climb up that long steep hill
I slip and fall. I have seen it all,
Many times before my spirit is broken,
my emotions are raw.
But I will get through it, I know that I can do it.
Because I am a woman, and I cry.
Only strong woman cry,
Because over the years I felt my tears,
And my fears,
I am a different woman,
I have a lump in my throat,
A tear running down my cheek,
I am not weak, or a freak,
I am a strong woman, a good woman, a free woman,
A proud woman, holding my head up high,
Only strong woman cry,
I have never been a woman scorned. by Dorothy Maude .
