Today when I pray,
I utter let a woman be heard,
my heart bleeds, my hands and soul, I bare,
Oh, Lord hear my prayer.
An extinct volcano rock stands in darkness,
Hearts of gold inside,
A man looks out across James town,
His voice echos in the stillness of the dark night,
He remembers his love ones far across the great Atlantic ocean,
St Helena radio station is playing a smooth sound,
While the ghost of Mr Billy Stevens radio station,
Is playing old fashion country music in the background.
Oh, Lord hear our prayers, wipe away our tears,
Ease our pain, give us the courage to forgive
Teach us to love each other,
And to count every blessing,
And make happiness our main priority,
Looking out towards the abyss of the great sea
