If the world was a stage and we were merely players, I think I got a
lousy part. A role that would affect me for the rest of my life.
I played the part of the toddler who was put to bed by her mother, I woke up in the morning I could not find my mother. Twenty-two years later I was reunited with her. It was so wonderful to see her, I had spent my entire life wondering what she would be like, my search was finally over. I couldn’t take my eyes off her, it was one of the best days of my life. She told me that she found it strange that I was now an adult as she could only remember me as a baby.
Have you seen my mother,?
Do you know my mother,?
Does she look like me,?
She left in a hurry and she’s forgotten about me.
If you see my mother,
Tell her that I am sad,
If only I could see her,
I know that I will be glad.
I can’t remember her face at all.
She left when I was very small,
I can still feel her touch,
If you see my mother,
I miss her so much,
if only she would come today,
To give me a hug,
And I would say ,
A very happy mother’s day. by Dorothy Maude.
