Don’t talk to me about social workers,
Not all of them anyway,
Some of them
Scrutinized me, demoralized me,
Criticized me, and now they have criminalized me.
They break me, disrespects me,
They put me down,
They fabricate stories about me,
They don’t care what they say about me,
They doubt me,
In fact, they make me feel worthless,
I don’t want to be walked over,
I am not a freak or a weirdo,
Buried deep in my soul there’s a hero,
Struggling to get out,
To overcome the liars, abusers, and cheats,
I have encountered many defeats,
I never want to be defeated,
I raised up, told them to stop,
For once they listened to me,
Because I never gave up. by Dorothy Maude.
