The police rang and said
- “Get it out of your head,”
- Your grandchildren don’t want to see you,
- They don’t want to be with you,
- In fact, they don’t want to see you again,
- I can’t sustain. my inner pain,
- They are encouraged to disrespect me,
- And reject me,
- But I won’t succumb to defeat,
- Liars, backstabbers, and deceit,
- I can tell, they will rebel,
- And karma awaits like a thief in the night,
- Lord Jesus make it alright. by Dorothy Checksfield.
- Rejection is both painful and ugly, It is a feeling of shame and sadness when no one wants you. It impacts on my mental health too. I have always craved attention and acceptance, being left out makes me sad, empty, unworthy, disappointed and leaves me with a negative feeling. My mother left me when I was a toddler, which hasn’t helped my situation. Someone once asked me if I would rather be liked by others or self-love, I replied that I would rather love myself. Not many people know the importance of self-love. I have never had any issues with self-acceptance, self -love and self-respect. My problem has always been the dregs of life.
