Rejection, loneliness, emptiness, and worthiness too,
Face lowered, sad and drawn,
In a world so forlorn,
Wishing I was never born,
Emptiness steeps inside me,
Walks beside me,
Wrapping itself around me,
Tugging at my jugular, Suffocating me,
Tormenting me,
If loneliness stays,
For my remaining days,
I will embrace it,
Try to face it,
I won’t be alone, not on my own,
Because I am a child of God. Dorothy Maude.
