See that teacher standing over there,
I look at her in quiet despair,
She has a cane in her hand,
She is about to strike me,
I know she doesn’t like me,
Look at me teacher,
And what do you see,?
What do think when you cane me,?
You know that I don’t have a mum,
And I live in a dysfunctional home,
Ten years you’ve caned me,
Enduring agonies years of misery,
I know one day I’ll be free,
from my teacher caning me me.
Teachers play such a big part in a child’s life. A mixture of sadness and rejection is overwhelming for a child. It has a huge impact on your confidence and self esteem. Mothering Sunday triggers many emotions and I wonder what they would have thought when they were caning me. They knew I didn’t have a mum and I lived in a dysfunctional home. They didn’t show any compassion to me at all.
