So many stories and poems written about taking the wrong road. I suppose that’s life, it would seem I do it all the time.
I took the wrong road,
How was I to know,
Loney and directionless,
A long time ago,
I have learned from past mistakes,
Coping with loss and heartbreaks,
The bumpy meaningless road I took,
For me, is now a closed book.
Coming face to face with injustice,
Without guardians, I learned to cope,
I never once gave up hope,
If I can survive another day,
So I can rise up and say,
That I am a winner now,
But I’ve still been to hell. by Dorothy Maude
